Ice Cube Wants His Son O'Shea To Play Him In N.W.A Biopic

Ice Cube says he wants his son to portray him in the upcoming N.W.A. biopic, explaining he's "been trying to get that pushed along."
Los Angeles native Ice Cube has been in the headlines recently for numerous reasons. His forthcoming album tenth solo studio album, Everythang's Corrupt is slated to hit retail shelves in May. Cube will also have a hand in the upcoming N.W.A. biopic.
Recently sitting down with The Guardian, the former N.W.A. member talked about the flick and confirmed rumors that he wants his son, O'Shea to play him in the movie.
"Yes. I've been trying to get that pushed along," Ice Cube said when asked if he would like his son to portray him in the biopic, Straight Outta Compton. "Just wanna make sure that he's the best man for the job."
Regarding his children and N.W.A., the rapper/producer/actor said they listened to his music at a very early age.
"They discovered it. I wasn't hiding it, it was right there," Ice Cube said. "My son Darrel could recite 'Straight Outta Compton' at two years old. He loved it! You can expose your kids to anything as long as you sit there and explain it to them."

Xbox Reportedly Developing Television Series Based On Nas' Life

Xbox Reportedly Developing Television Series Based On Nas' Life
With news of Nasupcoming anniversary reissue of his 1994 album Illmatic recently released, Deadline is now reporting that the rapper is in talks with Microsoft’s Xbox Entertainment Studios for a planned half-hour television series.
Tentatively titled "Street Dreams," the series is apparently “loosely based” on Nas’ life and rise to fame as an emcee in the Queensbridge projects in New York. Slated for a half-hour spot, "Street Dreams" will be written and directed by Jonathan Levine who is well known for his 2011 directing of the Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt starring 50/50. Levine, who grew up in New York City throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s, also wrote and directed a movie set in New York called The Wackness which won the 2008 Sundance Audience Award for Dramatic Film. via sohh.com http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/news/id.27474/title.xbox-reportedly-developing-television-series-based-on-nas-life
